Amara Barbará

Amara Barbará’s practice focuses on complex litigation, with an emphasis in professional liability matters and business disputes. Ms. Barbará has significant experience in federal and state court litigation, from inception to trial, and has successfully disposed of numerous actions through attentive and comprehensive motion work. Ms. Barbará is similarly adept at advocating for her clients in mediation, and increasingly, in arbitration—where knowledge of its procedural pitfalls is particularly critical.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Barbará litigated consumer warranty protection matters and worked extensively on consumer class actions and products liability cases. She also clerked for several local law firms.

Ms. Barbará earned her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law where she was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society and served as both the Vice President, and the President, of the Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. During law school, she competed internationally in both Hong Kong and Vienna arbitrating commercial disputes.

Within the community, Ms. Barbará is an active member of the Lawyers Club of San Diego, the San Diego County Bar Association, and the Association of Business Trial Lawyers. In her free time, Ms. Barbará enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, cooking, and exercising her competitive streak in all things sports.
