Sam Strohbehn
Founding Partner
Samuel B. Strohbehn solves problems for businesses and professionals inside and outside of the courtroom. His practice focuses on complex litigation and technology matters involving business, intellectual property rights, data privacy and cybersecurity, and professional liability disputes.
Mr. Strohbehn is an experienced litigator and trial lawyer whose practice sits at the intersection of business, technology, and the law. Sam has litigated hundreds of matters at all stages for plaintiffs and defendants in arbitration and before state and federal courts. His typical matters involve business and contractual disputes (unfair competition, breach of contract, etc.), intellectual property and defamation rights (trade secret, copyright, trademark, defamation, DMCA, trade libel, etc.), data and privacy related claims, and/or professional liability claims. As a recipient of Martindale’s highest AV®-Preeminent™ rating and graduate of the ABOTA National Trial College, he earns his clients’ trust with frank advice and clear results. Sam also advises clients regarding privacy compliance and breach incident response.
As outside counsel, Mr. Strohbehn provides both discrete transactional services and outside general counseling to businesses. Mr. Strohbehn’s transactional services include prosecution and enforcement of worldwide copyright and trademark portfolios, contractual and licensing negotiation, and advice concerning corporate and employment issues. As a litigator who routinely negotiates software, manufacturing, licensing, and apparel agreements with Fortune 500 companies concerning household consumer brands, Mr. Strohbehn knows how to achieve a client’s goals efficiently as possible and how contractual issues will actually playout if litigation occurs.
Mr. Strohbehn’s clients include commercial and industrial equipment manufacturers, apparel and cosmetic manufacturers, software and app developers, ecommerce businesses, professionals and firms, and more.
Mr. Strohbehn is active in the community, having previously served on the Point Loma Association and as Section Chair of the Intellectual Property Section of the San Diego County Bar Association.
