Wener Vieux

Wener Vieux focuses his practice on legal ethics, professional responsibility, attorney discipline defense, law firm risk management, and related litigation. As Senior Counsel with Rosing Pott & Strohbehn, he advises attorneys, law firms, and legal professionals on complex ethics issues, regulatory inquiries, disciplinary proceedings, compliance matters, and professional responsibility obligations.

Mr. Vieux brings more than twenty years of litigation, investigative, and advisory experience to his practice. Prior to joining the firm, he represented attorneys and law firms in State Bar investigations, disciplinary proceedings, ethics consultations, and risk-management matters. Before entering private practice, he served for 18 years as a Judge Advocate in the United States Army, holding progressively senior litigation, investigative, and advisory positions. During his military career, he advised senior military leaders on ethics, employment law, compliance, investigations, risk management, and organizational governance while supervising legal teams and representing clients in contested proceedings. He also served as both a prosecutor and defense counsel, managing complex litigation matters and mentoring junior attorneys.

Following his military service, Mr. Vieux served as Assistant General Counsel for the Presidio Trust, a federal corporation. In that role, he advised agency leadership on employment law, investigations, ethics, litigation, privacy matters, regulatory compliance, contracting, and risk management. He also served as the Trust’s Designated Agency Ethics Official and provided legal support on a broad range of operational and governance matters.

Mr. Vieux earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Military Law from The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School. He also earned a Master of Operational Studies from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, magna cum laude, with a minor in African American Studies, from the University of Arizona.
